Abstract: The impact of adult education on mental health was examined in this study to understand how educational engagement influences psychological well-being among adults. The objectives were to determine the correlation between adult education participation and stress reduction, identify the role of adult education in enhancing self-esteem, and evaluate the influence of educational attainment on overall life satisfaction. A survey design was utilized for its effectiveness in collecting comprehensive data from a diverse group of participants over a short period. The sample size consisted of 300 adult learners selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure the inclusion of individuals with varying educational backgrounds. The case study was conducted in Lagos, Nigeria, a bustling metropolitan area with a diverse population. Findings revealed that adults engaged in educational programs experienced significant reductions in stress levels, enhanced self-esteem, and improved life satisfaction compared to those who did not participate in such programs. Recommendations included the expansion of adult education programs to reach more individuals, particularly in underserved areas, and the integration of mental health support services within educational curricula to maximize the benefits of learning on psychological well-being.
